Despite the release of the 1267xx series in 2018, the white gold version (ref. 116719 BLRO) that initially brought back the Pepsi bezel in 2014 was not completely discontinued. Instead, Rolex updated the white gold version to feature a midnight blue dial and added the then-new Caliber 3285.

Having owned the Pepsi BLRO in stainless steel, my next natural progression was to also own a Rolex GMT-Master II Pepsi Meteorite 126719BLRO.. The meteorite dial is an extremely special piece to me, as no two dials are identical. As most Rolex sport models have the same 40mm cases and only 2 versions of different bracelets, this particular model really stood out.

First impressions: the GMT Master II (reference 116719BLRO) has been to the gym. It's a much more muscular watch; beefier case; you can feel the weight of each individual link but at the same time (and admittedly, a certain amount of all this is down to it being quite a lot of white gold) it doesn't feel cumbersome on the wrist.
